Grades Teacher Education

This course offers a three year Waldorf-inspired preparation for those seeking to become grades teachers. Classes are held from 5:00 to 7:30pm PST on Wednesdays during the school year through Zoom. Weekend in-person conferences are offered in the fall and spring. It is required to attend a 2 1/2 week intensive all three summers of the course. The course consists of regular study of anthroposophy, looking at topics directly related to pedagogy, as well as those relevant to the anthroposophic worldview out of which Waldorf education was originally born. Through engaging lectures, class discussions, artistic work, self-reflection, and written and visual curriculum work, individuals will develop a deep understanding of the principles behind Waldorf-inspired education.
